I love to road trip and Dubbo is a nice leisurely 6 hour drive into lovely Australian bush land. Dubbo is famous for being a busy intersection of many travelers, the Summers being blazing hot and the Winters being surprisingly cool. It's also one of seven Evocities within Australia, encouraging many to explore different environments apart from the major cities.
Now without further ado, a small album from a recent road trip...

First stop though: Blue Mountains. These beautiful hills are famous for their eucalyptus scent and blue haze and a perfect way to enjoy the scenery is an adventure to Scenic World!
51/2 hours later, dubbo open's its doors. Amongst the pies, Japanese peace gardens, Art Centres and the Old Dubbo Gaol what we're looking for is the main attraction - the zoo. The Taronga Western Plains Zoo is home to various species of endangered animals, including the White, Black and Indian Rhinoceros', and runs a successful breeding program for a number of endangered species.
The best way is to travel by bike. Hire one or take your own!

Up close and personal with the giraffes
They do daily demonstrations as well, and this tiger is definitely a highlight.
So moral of this story is, if you have time to make this drive down to to Dubbo make it. You won't regret it.
